High-Protein Cheesy Baked Gratin
A comforting, protein-packed baked gratin that's quick to assemble and perfect for weekly meal prep. Creamy, cheesy, and completely guilt-free.
Ingredients
- 2 whole eggs
- 150g cottage cheese or light ricotta
- 250g lean minced beef or chicken breast pre-cooked
- 200g fresh broccoli florets
- 60g shredded mozzarella
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 190°C and lightly grease an oven-safe baking dish.
In a large bowl whisk the eggs with cottage cheese garlic powder salt and pepper until smooth.
Fold in the pre-cooked meat and broccoli florets coating everything evenly.
Pour the mixture into your prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.
Generously sprinkle the shredded mozzarella over the top.
Bake for 18-20 minutes until the cheese is melted golden and bubbling.
Let it rest 5 minutes before serving.
For extra flavor add a pinch of smoked paprika or dried oregano to the egg mixture before baking.
